Tag MP3 easily

My older MP3 collections was a big headache for me, because most of the songs were not correctly tagged, making it very hard to find the song which I'm looking for. Manual tagging would take months to tag the whole collection. Then I found these two easy ways which I'm sharing with you today. Shakira's 'Give it up to me' (one of my favorite tracks) will be the test track for this, mostly due to the nice cover art its going to get.

Soon after the track was downloaded it was look like below when opened in foobar2000.

Method 1 - Use WinAmp (Oh yes, I use WinAmp solely for this purpose). For bulk operations this is the preferred method. Open the track from WinAmp and go to File Info dialog box. And click on 'Auto-Tag'.

WinAmp Auto-Tagger (powered by Gracenote) will do the rest.

Once the track been updated it will look like below. Perfect.

Something missing? Yep the cover art. Go to Artwork tab and click on 'Download Art'.

You'll get couple of album arts, searched based on artist and album details. Select the most preferred one.

Cool. It's done and now you'll have a perfectly tagged track, which is very easy to search or to browse with album arts.

Method 2 - Skip all the above steps if you're tagging only one track. Power up MediaMonkey and add the track to the playlist. Go to Tools and select 'Auto-Tag from Web...' option.

A searched will be perfomed on artist & album details and track details along with album art will preview like below.

There are many options you can use to fine tune the tagging. Once you're satisfied, click on 'Auto-Tag' option. Done. Open the song and see. Perfect.

There are many other methods which will do the same process. If you know any other easy ways, please share them here.
